Vox Regis
In a troubled kingdom, its people are gathering in factions.
If these factions attract enough members, they will be capable of overthrowing you, the king. Something must be done.
As the king, use your voice to lay blame on these factions for the troubles plaguing the kingdom.
Enraged, villagers complaining about this particular problem will attack the faction. Whether they are victorious is not of your concern. All that matters is the faction reducing in size.
Can you keep the size of the factions small for the period it will take your kingdom to solve all the problems?

I'm sure people have done it with far fewer speeches but I did it in 18 lol. There's a really cool blend of stress with managing the crowd sizes and feeling AWFUL for creating infighting in the first place. And goodness is this a perfect creation right before the American presidential election lol
As far as the game goes, it fits the theme perfectly as these people are such tiny creatures before you, and I LOVE the visual of your kingly hands on the window as you watch and give speeches over the years. It was also so awesome to hear vocalizations of so many classic Latin phrases, including Ludum Dare!

Won with 7 speeches! Those peasants couldn't know what hit them! Carpe Diem! Deus ex machina!
Pretty fun, grim when you consider it mimics life in how our leaders manipulate people into hating each other XD
Very interesting game! I have learn something about politics :D
PS: I released my first game. Thanks to have a look ;)
8 Speeches. Nailed it, M'lord.
